This was painted in 2000 just after my visit to Mexico in the March of that year. We stayed with friends in their little house on a hill in a fishing village called Sayulita just down the coast from Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific coast. In this painting I am depicting the change over from the night time noises of the dogs to the dawn waking up the cockerels.
